my first Farm Visit in Malaysia

if you have never been to a dairy farm, then this is one of the most memorable experience you will ever had. As for me, this is NOT my first time, but actually just my first ever in Malaysia! the last farm that I visited was 4 years ago in Australia for one of my AGRC courses. Anyway back to roller coaster working life, the reason why I was assigned to visit the farm on behalf of the company was because I will be organizing a school trip for the winners of Who's the Genius Contest on behalf of NSTP. The journey to get to the farm was a very long one indeed, to my surprise, most of the dairy farms in Malaysia are located way up above a hill, or somewhere in the middle of nowhere. this is mainly because most of the cow's are imported from overseas, they needed a much lower temperature to be able to survive in such tropical country. to be frankly honest I had always imagined the dairy cow's in Malaysia to be brown. but wow wow wow, to my surprise I was greeted by the faces of lovely, very tamed friendly black and white cows.

now just check out the beautiful pictures I managed to snap during my short day trip

this is how a female cow will look like

their size is slightly smaller compared to the ones I saw in Aussie

milking area, this pic needs to be rotated to the right. Milking is done every morning
the 50 female cows placed in this farm, is only fertilized by 2 male cows. LOL.

adorable spots they have :)

getting all giddy up with the cows as i entered their cage area

Myself with them

cute baby cow's. i love how cute they look!

myself, being all excited yet scared as the cow started to lick off my jeans

Kak Liza a veterinar from the Ministry's office working closely with DLMI,
she basically ensures that the cow's here are well taken care of
and produce the highest quality of milk

the cow's having their afternoon nap after a tiring, milking morning

Looking at how healthy the cows looks, No wonder our milk, is the no. 1 choice in Malaysia , now I am all excited to plan the agenda for the Winning School of the WTG contest :)

I find this post hilarious, Aza! Haha. It's like you're giving me a farm tour and I'm a kid on a school trip. This should be your niche- write more on cows & milk! Mooo :)
